Dovre Township

Prepayment of Assessment Information:
The Dovre Township Board adopted the assessment roll at their October 1, 2025 meeting. The assessment amount will remain at $1900 for an indirect assessment and $9500 for a direct assessment.
To avoid interest accumulating on your assessment please make a payment to Dovre Township and mail it to to the Dovre Township Clerk - Pat Jacobs on or after October 1, 2025 and prior to November 10, 2025. You can remit your payment by mail to:

Indirect assessment prepayments must be in full - $1900.00, and made payable to Dovre Townsihp.
Direct assessment prepayments can be made for a minimum of $2000.00. Any amount above $2000.00 must be made in $500.00 increments. ($2000.00, $2500.00, $3000.00, etc). Any remaining assessment will be certified to be placed on your tax statement beginning in 2026 and continuing for 10 years. Compound interest at a rate of 6% will accumulate on any unpaid balance each year.

You can also remit your payment at the November 3, 2025 Town Board meeting to be held at the Dovre Town Hall at 6:00PM.

Dovre Township is a township in Kandiyohi County, Minnesota, United States. The population was 2,119 at the 2010 census. Dovre Township was organized in 1869, and derives its name from the Dovrefjell mountain range in Norway.

Monthly Meetings (NOTE: NEW DATE AND TIME BEGINNING JAN. 2023)
Township board meetings are scheduled for the first Monday of the month. If it becomes necessary to reschedule a meeting it will be posted on the bulletin board outside of the town hall.

Dovre Township Supervisors are elected in the November elections.
